Position Summary
We are looking for a motivated, engaged and proactive individual to join our dynamic team as a Communications Officer in our global headquarters. The Communications Officer will be part of the global strategic Communications team supporting colleagues with a range of internal and external communications activities.

The Communications Officer reports to Internal Communications Manager. It’s a full-time, permanent and onsite role.

Who are we? We are Proman. Founded in 1984, Proman started as a project management company specialized in the construction of large industrial projects. Today we are a global leader in natural gas-derived products and services.

Headquartered in Switzerland, we are a multi-asset, multi-regional diversified energy producer with methanol and fertilizer production facilities in Trinidad and Tobago, the United States and Oman and we are currently expanding into Mexico.

Proman is also a significant services business, with extensive experience in engineering, plant operations, petrochemical and power plant construction, product marketing and logistics, project management and project development.

Communications Officer (100%)

Position Responsibilities:

Content and collateral management:

  • Maintain and update communications templates and collateral, including presentations, newsletters, documents and other branded materials.
  • Ensure communication materials are up to date, correctly stored and published on the appropriate channels, including the intranet, the media bank and the communications library.

Content creation:

  • Draft high-quality internal communications for different audiences across the business, including news articles, web and intranet posts, email announcements and other written corporate communications materials.
  • Support the development of press releases, reports, presentations and briefing materials, including slides, speaker notes, manager cascade packs, speeches and conference materials.       
  • Adapt content for different formats, channels and audiences, including short- and long-form content and global or local communications requirements.

Channel and communications management:

  • Publish and update content on internal platforms, including the intranet, ensuring all content is accurate, well formatted and aligned with tone of voice, branding and agreed priorities.
  • Maintain and actively manage the communications/editorial calendar, tracking activities, owners, deadlines and dependencies, and following up with stakeholders to ensure timely input and alignment.

Campaign and project support:

  • Contribute to internal campaigns, including employee engagement initiatives, surveys and leadership cascades, by developing communication packs, manager toolkits and related materials.
  • Support the rollout of global communications initiatives across regions and provide communications support for cross-functional projects as directed.

Digital, asset and freelancer coordination:

  • Work with communications colleagues and freelancers to develop clear project briefs, coordinate external partners, track deliverables and ensure agreed timelines are met.
  • Maintain basic project tracking for external support, including video, graphic design, photography and other digital asset projects.

Measurement and reporting:

  • Track performance metrics across communications channels, including views, engagement, reach and feedback, and support regular reporting such as monthly updates, campaign summaries and ad hoc requests.

Media monitoring and analysis:

  • Conducting daily media monitoring and analysis, including coverage tracking, key mentions and sentiment, and flag relevant issues, trends or reputational risks to the team.

Manage enquiries:

  • Monitor web enquiries and shared email inboxes, ensuring queries are tracked, assigned and responded to in a timely manner, and use insights to suggest practical improvements to content, timing and channel use.

Required professional & education experience:

  • 2–5 years of professional working experience in a similar position within an international environment.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
  • Higher studies in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Politics or International Affairs, Marketing or a related field.
  • Excellent writing, copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to understand and present complex information clearly, accurately and engagingly for different audiences.
  • Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills, particularly PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint, with the ability to create polished presentations, documents and communication materials.
  • Experience using content management systems, ideally including SharePoint and WordPress, and confident publishing and updating content across digital channels.
  • Basic understanding of internal and external communications, including channel planning, audience adaptation, stakeholder engagement and brand/tone of voice consistency.
  • Experience with media monitoring, coverage tracking and basic analysis. Exposure to social media, digital communications and analytics, including the ability to track performance metrics, interpret insights and suggest practical improvements.
  • Strong organisational, planning and coordination skills, with the ability to manage deadlines, follow up with stakeholders and maintain accurate trackers, calendars and records.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build good relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues, freelancers and external partners.
  • Proactive, practical and delivery-focused, with the confidence to take ownership of assigned projects, work independently and problem solve.
  • Team player with a can-do approach and willingness to pitch in to get the job done.

Mobility requirements 
100% based in Switzerland (in-office) with occasional travel to other global locations
